You might notice a note next to a charge that describes the state of each of your transactions. Here's a quick look at what each state means:
A pending transaction is an approved transaction that has not been fully processed yet. It was authorized and is currently in the process of completing. This can take up to 3-5 business days or sooner to update and post to your account.
This means that you used your Step card recently to make purchases but they declined due to insufficient funds. No worries - we understand that these things happen. To avoid this issue in the future, all you need to do is add money your Step card with enough money to cover the full amount being charged for your purchases.
